President’s Message
hanks to everyone who attended the Member Appreciation event at Coral
Ridge Country Club on Saturday, February 22, 2025. It was a beautiful
T evening and the event was, by all accounts, a rousing success, fostering a
sense of community and raising awareness of the importance of increasing our
HOA/Security Patrol program membership.
Without doubt, and it’s not even close, the top three quality of life issues we hear
about from residents are crime, traffic, and vacation rentals. Your all-volunteer Board
spends an incredible amount of time advocating for our neighborhood on all three.
We’ll focus on two of those in this issue.
Crime Initiatives
Our goal is to make CRCCE the City’s safest neighborhood. Research has
consistently shown that crime and safety negatively impact neighborhood
desirability and property values. The Fort Lauderdale Police Department keeps crime
statistics on all neighborhoods. Below you will find a summary of our CRCCE crime
statistics for the years 2022–2025 (through February for 2025). It’s evident that
we’re not exactly a crime free neighborhood, with a lot of larcenies, burglaries and
vehicle thefts. Though we do not have a huge amount of violent crime, we do see
occasional crimes such as assault and battery, sexual assault and even homicide.
