LOA Update
Celebrate the Season
ere’s the news….Yes, the holiday season is upon us! As the cooler air of our
South Florida tropical version of Fall and Winter settle in, our residents and
Hvisitors are embracing the season’s unique charm. The boulevard is virtually
buzzing with people enjoying dining al fresco and embracing the change to the
more comfortable weather. Many of us are thinking about our busy calendars
and trying to plan for the many fabulous events ahead that we previewed in our
September/October ‘Season Preview’ issue. The holiday season encourages us to

Las Olas Association enjoying that amazing meal on Las Olas, enjoying our fabulous waterways or
enjoying a slow scenic stroll on our beautiful Riverwalk, this season offers countless
opportunities to create lasting memories.
One of my favorite events here just took place over the weekend of October 19th
and 20th when the boulevard came alive again with the vibrant energy of the Las
OFFICERS Olas Art Fair. The streets were filled with people enjoying the sunshine and cool
Luke Moorman breezes, browsing through an array of stunning artworks and shopping for those
President perfect pieces. It was the kind of weekend event Las Olas Boulevard was made for,
bringing a renewed appreciation for the joy and importance of art in our lives.
Jodi Jeffreys-Tanner
Vice President The Las Olas Art Fair was more than just an event; it was a celebration of creativity
and community. Artists from near and far showcased their talents, offering everything
Dave Bell from intricate paintings and sculptures to handmade crafts and jewelry. Each piece
Secretary told a story, reflecting the artist’s vision and passion. Visitors wandered from booth to
Caroline Carrara booth, captivated by the diversity and beauty of the artwork on display.
Treasurer Art has a unique ability to enrich our lives. It inspires us, provokes thought and
evokes emotions. It connects us to different cultures and perspectives, broadening
our understanding of the world. At this latest Las Olas Art Fair, the connection was

very apparent. People engaged in conversations with artists, learning about their
Genia Duncan Ellis creative processes and the meanings behind their works. These interactions added
depth to the experience, making it more than just a visual feast. I personally spoke
Oualid Iaouadi
with approximately 90 percent of the artists to welcome them to the boulevard,
Bobby Palushaj and they could not have been happier to be here. They love Las Olas and said it
Charlie Ladd was their favorite destination.
Shopping and eating al fresco added to

the festive atmosphere. Local businesses

and packed our restaurants, allowing

everyone to enjoy a taste of the local flavor
while enjoying the Las Olas Boulevard
atmosphere with friends and family.
