             females,” recalls Dr. Moon.                                                                Prior to her surgical training, she also completed a
                                                               dedicated research year at the University of Miami
                                                               Stem  Cell  Institute,  further  enhancing  her  expertise
                                                               in cutting-edge medical advancements. Dr. Moon still
                                                               devotes one day a week exclusively to her pediatric
                                                               plastic surgery patients at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital.
                                                               Her compassion is evident as she recounts some of
                                                               her youngest cases, “Seeing the immediate difference
                                                               you can make is incredibly fulfilling,” she says.
                                                               Dr. Scurci’s journey to plastic surgery took a less
                                                               direct route. She earned her medical degree from the
                                                               University of Maryland School of Medicine, completed
                                                               a rigorous general surgery residency at University
                                                               of Miami, where she developed expertise across a
                                                               broad spectrum of surgical disciplines. Dr. Scurci
                                                               then advanced to a fellowship in plastic surgery at
                                                               Cleveland  Clinic  Florida,  where  she  refined  her  skills
                                                               in both reconstructive and aesthetic procedures. This
                                                               extensive training enables her to deliver sophisticated,
                                                               natural-looking results tailored to each patient’s
                                                               unique needs. It was while she was conducting
                                                               research at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda,
                                                               MD,  that  she  initially  envisioned a  career in  surgical
                                                               oncology. However, the emotional weight of delivering
                                                               difficult news to patients gave her pause. “Those
                                                               challenging conversations are an integral part of the
