Commissioner’s Message

Neighbors,
I
hope you had a wonderful
holiday and that you are looking
forward to a happy and healthy
2025. I am honored to serve as
your Fort Lauderdale District 4 City
Commissioner and look forward to
the many ways we will work together
to improve the quality of life in your
neighborhood and our city!

I invite, and encourage, you to play
an active role in our community.
As we begin 2025, I am looking
forward to a renewed sense of
togetherness and community
engagement in our city. Whether
it is by attending an event, joining a board, or sharing feedback on an item of
interest, your participation is the key to the success of our community today and
for generations to come.
The City Commission usually meets on the first and third Tuesday of each month.
I will be hosting regular Agenda Review meetings to review items on the agenda
and to answer any questions. District 4 Agenda Review meetings are open to all
residents and are an opportunity to share feedback before the Commission votes
on an item. Please contact my office to join our email distribution list.

Key meeting dates you will want to make a note of for January and February are
as follows:

• January 21, 2025 - 9am Commission Prioritization Workshop
@ 101 NE 3rd Avenue

• January 22, 2025 - City Commission Conference & Regular Meeting
@ Broward Center for the Performing Arts

• January 23, 2025 - 6:30pm District 4 Mixed-Use Public Meeting @ Hortt Park
• February 4 and 18, 2025 - City Commission Conference & Regular Meeting
@ Broward Center for the Performing Arts

I would also like to invite you and your families to join the City of Fort Lauderdale
in honoring the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on January 20, 2025, from
9:30am to 3pm. I look forward to seeing you as we come together for a day of
celebration and take time to reflect on how, together, we can be intentional about
building a better future.
