             Fort Lauderdale’s

             Olympian – Erika Reineke

                   s you tune in to the Summer Olympics in Paris this July,
                   keep your eyes peeled for the sailing competitions
             Awhere Fort Lauderdale’s own Erika Reineke, who sails
             out of the Lauderdale Yacht Club, will sail the Laser Radial, a
             singlehanded dinghy, in the Olympic Games.
             It’s Erika’s first U.S. Olympic Team after competing in three
             prior U.S. Olympic Trials. She first started sailing at age 8 in
             a youth sailing program run by Lauderdale Yacht Club and
             eventually progressed through various sailing competitions
             over the years to become a Youth World Champion in the   week-long 2024 U.S. Olympic Trials for everything to come
             2010 ILCA (Laser Radial) Youth World Championships.    together for her and now the dream is a reality.
