                                              President's Message

                                      The Landings Residential Association

                                              Greetings Neighbors,

                                              Traffic Barrier Gates Update
As you know we have had a community meeting and have distributed ballots to
determine the level of support for pursuing with the city the traffic barrier gates and
cameras at all the entrances to The Landings. As of the writing of this article, we have
received responses from two-thirds of the households in The Landings. Our secretary,
Dana Mullaney, has arranged for various block captains to solicit responses from
those who we have not yet heard from and we are continuing to collect ballots.
Of the two-thirds of households, we have ballots for 75.5% who are in favor of having
the traffic barrier gates and cameras installed. I believe this is enough of a mandate for
us to continue our discussions with the city to determine the feasibility. In addition, in
the near-term future we will be requesting contributions to fund the engineering studies
that will be necessary to provide to the city. We will keep you informed.

                                              New Yardarm
Mike Watson, President I hope by now everyone has noticed our new yardarm at the south entrance to The
Landings Residential Association Landings. The entire cost of the yardarm including installation was funded by the
City of Fort Lauderdale. Thank you to Dana Mullaney and Ronnie Dennis for getting
                                              this done for us.
