President’s Message
espite the August heat, humidity, and most of The Landings residents
being out of town, the Board is still working together to maintain and
Dimprove our community.
I am happy to report that Public Works promptly responded to and replaced the
two utility boxes on Bayview Drive which were taped together with duct tape and
were huge eyesores in our daily lives for some time.
Two sinkholes have emerged: one on 31st Avenue and one on Bayview Drive.
We are working with the city to get them repaired.
Additionally, as you may know, the city of Fort Lauderdale owes The Landings
community a neighborhood park. A few options have been discussed; however,
Helena Cooper most Landings residents seem apprehensive to having a park next to their home.
President The city proposed for us and three other neighborhoods to give up our rights to a
helena@coopgroupllc.com park and instead have a bigger park in Coral Ridge Isles. As a board, we feel as
OFFICERS though this would not be beneficial to The Landings residents and have proposed
that our allotted funding be used to improve our own common areas.
VICE PRESIDENT
Diane Dodich Meanwhile, we received the new light fixtures that will illuminate the Federal
dionline94@aol.com Highway entrance and are awaiting installation by the city.
TREASURER Lastly, as fall is approaching and schools will be back in session, we are looking
Kathleen Cool forward to more of our residents returning. As a reminder, our Annual Block Party
kacool1@aol.com
will take place on November 5th. It was a huge success last year and we are
SCECRETARY hoping to see even more of you attending this year!
