Security Patrol
More Members Needed
By Vicki Lynch, Board Secretary and SP Committee Chair
Dear Neighbors, • Limited interaction with FLPD officers because there would
be no off-duty FLPD officers assigned to our immediate area.
THE CHOICE OF A SAFE NEIGHBORHOOD IS YOURS. This would likely reduce the flow of up-to-date information on
neighborhood concerns.
Some CRCCE residents have declined to join or renew their
Security Patrol Membership based on the concern that they • No forward-facing public designation (Security Patrol Signs)

newly established Patrols with growing memberships have
created increasing competition for officer hours. An indifferent
community will not be able to sustain a Patrol without
expanding our base.
While many of us may not see the SP officers regularly, we
are able to rely upon the consistent communications and
strong relationships we have with our Security Patrol leader,
Lt. DeAnna Greenlaw, and our entire team of off-duty FLPD
officers. For those among us who need verification, there are
daily patrol logs.
What does Coral Ridge Country Club Estates WITHOUT a
Security Patrol look like…?
• Instead of 4-5hrs of daily CRCCE specific patrols, there
would be sporadic coverage provided by on-duty FLPD officers
assigned to all of Police District 1, which spans Broward
Blvd north to the city limit and Andrews Avenue east to Fort
Lauderdale Beach.
• Security Patrol Member Residential Away Service would no
longer be available. Neighbors would have to rely on one
another to conduct house checks and address Issues such as
fallen tree limbs.
• No continuous monitoring of Airbnb properties, unless an
initial report was filed, and violations were determined
and verified. Lt. DeAnna Greenlaw & Sgt. Mark Wright
