Celebrating 100 Years
Saint Anthony Parish, the oldest
Catholic Church in Broward County
(901 NE 2 Street), marked its 100th
anniversary with a Centennial
Celebration Mass on June 12. Its
iconic grand vaulted church is widely
recognized as one of the most
beautiful buildings in Fort Lauderdale.
Mayor Dean Trantalis and
Commissioner McKenzie presented an
official proclamation from the city in
honor of the historic occasion and the
parish’s deep ties to the community.
An Honor Guard, many beloved
parishioners, and a host of local
community leaders were in
attendance to mark the milestone.
