A Closer Look
From the Publisher: If you were one of those who, like myself,
was expecting and looking forward to some kind of final
decisions on what was to happen with the long-awaited and
long-debated Las Olas Boulevard Vision Plan, you may have
been a bit surprised at the outcome of the June 15th
Commission meeting. But it is a step in the right direction.
We thank Commissioner Steven Glassman for his excellent
synopsis of what has become the Concept Design Vision for
the Las Olas Boulevard Eastern Corridor and Las Olas
Boulevard Western Corridor. Even with that synopsis, we think
it’s important to know what the actual document describes and
sets out as recommendations as well as what factors those
recommendations are based upon. And one can only do that
by reading the entire document, which most don’t have the
time or inclination to do. I did read it and, with that, we have
