Whole Foods
Many of you are excited to see Whole Foods construction progressing. Opening by
Autumn of 2020 is expected according to representing attorney Robert Lochrie III. The
full project includes some needed road work on 17th Street with a widening of the 3rd
Avenue intersection. Also, sidewalk widening all around the building. The bad news is
lane closures on Federal Highway and also along 17th Street were scheduled to begin
either the 1st and 2nd quarter of 2020. Mr Locherie promised to request with FDOT
that they postpone road work. While Whole Foods really has no control over FDOT,
Jan-April is NOT the time to reduce lanes in Fort Lauderdale.
