RVCA President’s Message
Neighbors,
I would like to introduce our four newer members of the Rio Vista Civic Association
board. As board members, they each bring a commitment to the neighborhood
that benefits all of us. Ryan and Evan began by volunteering to launch our popular
‘Movie in the Park’ and Alex and Solomon began by assisting with various projects to
promote membership.
Please welcome Ryan, Evan, Alex and Solomon!
All the best,
Lori

It’s a pleasure to introduce myself to Rio Vista.
Vice President I’m Solomon Schoonover, a volunteer member
Jean-Jacques Rajter of the Board of Directors of the Rio Vista Civic
vp@riovistaonline.com Association(“RVCA”). I became involved with
Secretary the RVCA because I have a passion for our
Ryan Lehrer community and I am dedicated to making
ryan.lehrer@gmail.com contributions wherever possible.
Treasurer The moment my wife Stephanie and I first
Mark Snead drove through Rio Vista, we were captivated
treasurer@riovistaonline.com by its charm and beauty. The lush tree
canopies and diverse wildlife instantly won
BOARD MEMBERS us over, but it was the warmth and hospitality
Nancy Messing Brand
Evan Jaxtheimer of the community that truly made it feel like
Alex Jean home. You might recognize my wife’s name
William (Bill) Kirk (Stephanie Roy), as she’s an all-star Realtor, and she likely wrote you a personalized
Solomon Schoonover letter to try to purchase your home a few years ago.
Fred Stresau
Originally from Hollywood, Florida, moving to Fort Lauderdale felt like a natural
IMMEDIATE PAST PRESIDENT transition. I pursued my undergraduate studies at the University of Florida, where I
Christina Currie also had the honor of playing for the football team (GO GATORS!). Later, I earned
my law degree from the University of Miami School of Law and eventually became
COUNSEL TO THE BOARD General Counsel for the largest hair extension company in the country. Recently, I’ve
Charles Tatelbaum
taken on a new role as the President of a beauty manufacturing business.
Beyond my professional endeavors, I’m deeply involved in giving back to our
community. In addition to my work with the RVCA, I serve on the Board of Directors
for the Boys & Girls Club of Broward County, an organization close to my heart. I’ve
also been appointed to the Parks, Recreation, and Beaches Board for the City of Fort
Lauderdale, where I’m eager to enhance our public spaces for all to enjoy.
In my downtime, you can find me on the field with the South Florida Attorneys Flag
Football League (5x Champions!), immersed in books on history and foreign affairs, or
strolling through Rio Vista with my wife. If our paths ever cross, please don’t hesitate to
say hello. I look forward to getting to know each and every one of you better.
