Hurricane season gets underway;
forecasters predict busy year
s we approach June 1, the start of the 2024 hurricane season, it’s crucial to
heed the call for preparedness to safeguard ourselves and our loved ones
Afrom potential threats. While forecasts may vary, history teaches us to expect
some level of activity in the coming months.
In Fort Lauderdale, readiness is paramount for all residents. Let’s take proactive steps

you and your family for three to five days. Remember to include ample water, non-
perishable food items, batteries, a phone charger, a flashlight, medications, and
cash. Preparation is key, and having these supplies readily available can make all
the difference in an emergency.
