Chef’s Recipe

Carlota de Limon Verde
Amount Measure Ingredient - Prep Method
1 ½ cups evaporated milk
2 ¼ cups condensed milk
1/2 cup lime juice fresh squeezed
1 lime zested
30 Maria biscuits or tea cookies
Method of preparation:
1. Use a whisk to combine the condensed milk, and
evaporated milk. Add in the lime juice and zest and
beat until thickened.
2. Line a deep round pan with foil and cover the bottom
with a layer of Maria biscuits, scoring and breaking
some to fill the gaps.
3. Spoon in one third of the filling, spreading it carefully to
cover the biscuit base.
4. Top with another layer of Maria biscuits, again, scoring
and breaking a couple to fill the gaps.
5. Top with second third of the filling, a final layer of
biscuits, then the last third of the filling.
6. Pop the carlota de limón in the freezer for an hour or
two or until firm.
7. When you are ready to serve, remove the carlota de
limón from the freezer and decorate with whipped
cream, sliced strawberries and limes, if desired.
Note: Marie is one variety of

recommended by dieticians
and is a good snacking
choice for calorie-conscious
dieters. Marie is crisp, light,
healthy and delicious!
