Important Safety Alert for
District 1 Neighbors
Hello District 1 Neighbors,
s the days grow longer and the temperature rises, it’s that time of the year
again – summer is just around the corner! I hope this message finds you all

District 1 Commissioner let’s also take a moment to ensure that our community remains safe and secure.

neighborhoods, ranging from deceptive tactics used to gain access to homes to
incidents of vehicle theft facilitated by signal boosters. As your Commissioner,
it’s my priority to keep you informed and empowered to protect yourselves and
your loved ones.
Firstly, there have been incidents where individuals falsely claim that their iPhone is
pinging inside your home, as a ruse to gain access. This is a dangerous tactic used
to exploit trust and vulnerability. If you encounter such a situation, do not hesitate to
call 911 immediately and report it. Your safety is paramount and our law
enforcement authorities are here to help.

gain unauthorized access. To safeguard against this, please ensure your vehicles
are always locked, and keep your key fobs securely stored inside your home. If
you can lock or unlock your vehicle from where your key fob is stored, it’s crucial to
move it further away to prevent unauthorized access.
As we approach the summer months, I urge you to prioritize safety by following
these essential tips:

• Secure your vehicles
