RVCA President’s Message
appy New Year Rio Vista! Thank you to all of our Rio Vista friends and
families who came out to participate in RVCA Annual Holiday Party, which
Hwas organized by Social Committee Chair Nancy Messing, on Saturday,
December, 7th at VY Park. It was wonderful to have our favorite elected officials
and city staff members come out to celebrate with us in a casual setting. I’d also
like to thank Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue Station #2 for safely delivering Santa
Claus to the party. And thanks to all who brought food and toy donations, which
were provided to The Pantry Broward. Please direct any feedback on the Holiday
Party to Nancy Messing at nrmessing@gmail.com
The last RVCA General Meeting of 2019 took place on November 18. Here are
some highlights of what we covered for those of you who couldn’t make it:
Our guest speaker was Commissioner Ben Sorensen and he spoke about City efforts
in 2019 and what to expect in 2020. It appears the “AHF project” will be on the
Christina Currie, Esq. January 8, 2020 Board of Adjustment (“BOA”) agenda. Residents are encouraged
President
to share feedback with all members of the Commission and the BOA. With regards
to the AHF Project, please note in December of 2019 I transmitted all past
OFFICERS opposition statements to the BOA and requested they be added to materials going
President out to BOA members.
